Major changes have occurred in the music industry during the past several years because of the introduction of digital-based innovations. New companies have appeared which challenge the traditional methods of creation and distribution of music. This seminar will focus on Indaba Music, a New York City based company which has created a social network for musicians and a web application that enables artists all over the world to create music together online. Participants at the seminar will discuss the managerial challenges facing this company and what constitutes successful value creation in this new music industry environment.
